Saint Alban's is proud to be an integral part of the community of Monroe and Walton County, a dynamic and growing community only a few minutes from metropolitan Atlanta. We strive to be a 'good neighbor,' a thing which Christ calls us to do and thus is central to living out the Gospel. Many of our members are involved in any number of outreach ministries, non-profit initiatives, the arts, and community affairs. In addition, we generally make available our facilities to non-profits and community groups at no charge who have need of programming and/or meeting space. We are also 'home base' for the Healthy Grandparents Program. Saint Alban's is an official polling site. We have been active supporters of and/or provided programming space for the Girl Scouts, the Chamber of Commerce, Relay For Life (an annual fund raiser for the American Cancer Society), FISH (a local and ecumenically supported Thrift Store and Emergency Aid program), and the Healing Angels Free Clinic (indigent care for long term cardiac and diabetes monitoring on a weekly basis). Many members participate in Fish for Kids (a summer lunch program for those on school lunch programs during the school year) by making, packing and delivering lunches.
