Missio: Engage Saint Alban’s Is Partnering with the National Episcopal Church Saint Alban’s is in a pilot parish in a new venture by the national Episcopal Church office called “Missio: Engage!” It’s a two-year program in which a core Missio group of Saint Alban’s leaders, the vestry, other leadership, and rector enter into a covenant with the national church to reach into our surrounding community and into ourselves in new, connective, and meaningful ways.
The process involves reaching out and listening in new ways to those around us, to how God is working within us toward deeper spiritual freedom and connection, and how our worship can be a place of acceptance, liberation, and connection. For questions, check with the core Missio leadership team of DeDe Harris, Mallory Sanders, Jay Jones, Meagan Alcorn-Parrett, and Frank Roth. The team has been involved with the national Church and the 30 other parishes in this pilot effort since last August. We are communicating ideas via a web conference twice a month. Grace Saint Paul is another church participating in this pilot program. I encourage you to go to their website. http://www.gracestpaul.org/
